    The prize

Tech/innovation is changing the world as we know it. Manual labour is being replaced with robots and algorithms. The medical world, transportation, and other industries are experiencing a revolution. It may seem like we are better protected and we have bulletproof solutions, however, cyber-attacks and internet risks are getting more and more serious as well and our world is becoming extremely vulnerable.

As a religious leadership organization, the Conference of European Rabbis wholeheartedly believes it is necessary to support the Internet & Tech revolution with its world-changing powers. Rewarding talented internet entrepreneurs annually is the CER’s way of helping repair the world and help to build a better future for our children who will have to deal with robots, climate change, and cybercrime.

Promoting “Tikkun Olam” (A Jewish principle of repairing the world) is about contributing to global social harmony.

While those entrepreneurs motivated solely by financial gain may reap their own rewards, those with more altruistic motivations are less often recognized. We want to cultivate a generation of talented and selfless entrepreneurs.

With over €400,000 already awarded in cash prizes, the CER Internet Entrepreneurs Prize keeps supporting world-improving start-ups to keep doing what they are already doing without putting profit making as the overarching goal.
